Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Gigbook (the "Service"), available at gigbook.uk. The Service is provided by Gigbook, based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). When you use the Service you are contracting with Gigbook.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What Gigbook is
Gigbook is a private management tool for self-employed people to record jobs, track fees owed, create PDF invoices and export their data. It is not a booking site, agency or job board: we do not find you work, list gigs or handle your fees.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18, or have authority to bind the organisation you sign up for.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service, including:
- using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or for sending spam;
- infringing anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
- interfering with its security — uploading malware, probing or testing for vulnerabilities, scraping, or accessing other users' data;
- reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the Service, or bypassing its technical limits.
5. Intellectual property
Gigbook owns the Service and all its intellectual property, including the software, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your account is active. The gigs, invoices, notes and other content you add remain yours; you allow us to store and process it only to provide the Service.
6. Plans, payment and the free trial
New accounts get a 14-day free trial starting at sign-up, with no card needed. After that, access to editing features requires a paid subscription (monthly or yearly). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy.
7. Service level
We work hard to keep Gigbook running smoothly, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for checking invoices and figures before relying on them.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously break our policies. You can close your account at any time. If your subscription ends, your data stays viewable and downloadable; if your account is closed, we delete your data in line with our Privacy Notice.
9. Liability
Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
10. General
We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not transfer your account without our consent. We may update these terms and will notify you of significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
