Who we are

Gigbook, based in the United Kingdom, runs gigbook.uk. Gigbook is the data controller for the personal data described here, which means we decide how and why it is used.

What we collect and why

  • Account details (name, email, login credentials, or your Google sign-in) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
  • Content you add (gigs, clients, fees, invoices, bank details you choose to print, notes) — to provide the Service. Legal basis: contract.
  • Contact form messages (name, email, message) — to reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Subscription status (plan, renewal dates) — to manage your access. Legal basis: contract.
  • Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and fixing problems. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Card details are handled by Paddle and never reach us.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers that host and run the app (cloud hosting, database and authentication), acting on our instructions.
  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
  • Authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records (for example, for tax) by law. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections and access controls so that each account can only see its own records.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can download your gigs, invoices and notes any time from your account, and permanently delete your account yourself from Settings. We'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We only use essential storage needed to keep you signed in and make the app work. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Paddle may set cookies needed to process payments during checkout.
